How to Lose 4 Pounds in 4 Days

Several weeks ago, I went to my doctor for my regular physical check-up. I was quite shocked to learn that I weighed 193 pounds! I was immensely troubled. I knew I was overweight but since I didn't weigh myself at home, I had no idea I was that heavy. I followed my doctor's advice and began working out right away. I also cut down on my carbs. After 4 days, I weighed myself and found that I lost 4 pounds. That's 1 pound for every day I've been exercising. Seeing the results motivated me to keep going. I didn't completely eliminate carbs from my diet, but I followed a regular workout schedule and that really helped a lot.

My doctor had told me that the best exercise for losing weight is cardio. These are activities involving brisk movement, like walking, running or swimming. I myself did a lot of running outdoors because I found it enjoyable. It also allowed me to burn more calories because of its faster pace.

I also did some strength training. My routine included lifting weights for ten minutes. This helped strengthen and trim my arms. I also do crunches to firm up my abs. I've heard people say before that they feel the changes after just one day, but I never really believed them. But it's true! After just one day of working out, I started to feel healthier, more invigorated.

I followed a low carb diet, which allowed me to still eat my favourite foods like meat. My friends don't even know I'm on the diet because I could still eat out with them and enjoy different kinds of food. I never felt I was missing out on anything, that's why it's so great.

With my program, I lost weight safely and in no time at all. I didn't have to exert much effort. All that was needed was willpower and support from friends and family. Now, I not only feel healthier, but also much happier with my life.
